My name is Marissa Brunick and I have three sisters and currently live with my mother. My parents divorced when I was three and ever since my father did not play much of a role in my life or support my sisters and me. As you can imagine growing up, we struggled a lot with finances. My challenge with finances has been ongoing, and I know it's going to be tough paying for school on my own, but in the end a higher education is worth it. I chose Central Community College for two reasons: 1) They had the program I was interested in, and 2) the price. I knew I had to choose somewhere that wasn't going to be outrageously expensive, but had something that interested me. Receiving a CCC scholarship is going to help immensely when it comes time to pay for everything. This scholarship will help minimize the loans I would have had to take out. This to me is a huge relief and I was extremely grateful! I would definitely recommend this school to anyone, especially someone in the same position as me. This school offers a variety of majors at half the cost of universities with the same high quality. The staff is extremely helpful as well. Following CCC I plan to work in a metro area using my skills as a Registered Dental Hygienist in a respected dental office. I know CCC will prepare me to be successful in my chosen career.
